Cadillac CT4 Oil Life Service Maintenance Reminder Indicator Light Reset
Step by step tutorial on how to reset the Oil life service maintenance reminder indicator message light on Cadillac Ct4 from the year 2019-2020.
STEP 1
- Close all doors, gear to park position.
STEP 2
- Turn the ignition on. Don’t start the engine.
STEP 3
- Scroll down to navigate the OIL LIFE.
STEP 4
- While OIL LIFE is displayed. Press and hold the OK button to reset the OIL LIFE to 100%.
IF OIL LIFE IS MISSING. PLEASE ENABLE IT BY FOLLOWING THE INSTRUCTION BELOW.
STEP 1
- Close all doors, gear to park position.
STEP 2
- Turn the ignition on. Don’t start the engine.
STEP 3
- Press the LEFT/RIGHT button to scroll to INFO PAGE OPTIONS. Then press the CHECK button to EDIT. Scroll and select OIL LIFE, the OIL LIFE must check.
RESET THE OIL LIFE OF CADILLAC CT4 USING THE GAS PEDAL.
STEP 1
- Close all doors, gear to park position, turn the ignition on, don’t start the engine.
- Using the DIC buttons, display REMAINING OIL LIFE on the DIC.
STEP 2
- Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds.
STEP 3
- Turn off the ignition. Oil Reset is complete.
If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is not on, the system is reset.
The system is reset when the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message is off.
If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON message comes back on when the vehicle is started, the engine oil life system has not been reset. Repeat the procedure.
About Cadillac CT4
The Cadillac CT4 is a compact executive sedan marketed by Cadillac since 2019. It replaced the Cadillac ATS, and it was unveiled twice: the CT4-V on May 30, 2019, and the standard CT4 four months later. Cadillac will assemble the CT4 at the Lansing Grand River Assembly plant in Lansing, Michigan.
The CT4 will sit below the CT5 in Cadillac’s lineup. It will be available in early 2020 in the U.S.
Following Cadillac’s new “Y” trim strategy, the CT4 will be available in base Luxury trim, as well as Sport and Premium Luxury trims. The base engine is a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder (I4), producing 237 hp (177 kW) and 258 lb⋅ft (350 N⋅m) torque. Optional with the Premium Luxury is a 2.7-liter turbo I4, producing 309 hp (230 kW) and 348 lb⋅ft (472 N⋅m) torque.
