Hello, Good day my friend! I’m Erwin Salarda from the Philippines, and I’m back for another tutorial. I received a phone call from a client who had purchased the Launch X431 from our company, Veritek Incorporated (the Launch X431 Authorized Dealer in the Philippines), just a few days before. He wanted to know how he could find out when the subscription on his Launch X431 scanner would expire. Following that phone call, I understood that I should start a blog in order to assist others who are looking for the same information.
Please follow the steps in my tutorial. It’s easy to do and takes very little time. In my example, I’m using the most recent version of the Launch X431 software of the Pro Series model.
Requirements:
You must have an internet connection and a Launch X431 account and be logged in to the Launch X431 APP. If you have forgotten your Launch X431 account,, please see HOW TO RECOVER THE LAUNCH X431 ACCOUNT.
STEP 1
- Open the Launch X431 application and click “login” in the upper right corner. If you can’t see the login button, it means you’ve already logged in on the app.
STEP 2
- Type your account username and password.
STEP 3
- After you logon, click USER INFO.
STEP 4
- Click “PROFILE” on the left side.
STEP 5
- Click “UPGRADE PERIOD” on the right side.

Personal thoughts
You have nothing to worry about, even if your subscription expires, because the Launch X431 does not have a software lock, unlike other OBD Scanners. If you want to upgrade your Launch X431 scanner or purchase the subscription, please contact your dealer or the Launch X431 scanner’s local dealer in your country. If you want to know when is the best time to get a new subscription, I recommend waiting two years after your current one expires. Because your scanner can read even the most recent model, only the new sensor installed cannot be read, the best time to renew your membership is after two years.
