CHEVY IMPALA ENGINE OIL LIFE RESET

CHEVY IMPALA 2000-2001-2002-2003-2004-2005 Oil reset

On this tutorial we need to use the AUDIO SYSTEM.

On this tutorial we need to use the AUDIO SYSTEM.

STEP 1:

  • Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the Engine.

STEP 2:

  • Make sure the Radio is off. Press the TUNE/DISP Button for 10-15 seconds to display the SETTINGS.

STEP 3:

  • Press the the SEEK/PSCAN button to Display the OIL LIFE.

STEP 4:

  • Press the Number 1 (PREV BUTTON) to display the RESET.

STEP 5:

  • While the RESET is displayed. Press the TUNE/DISP Button to reset the Oil Life.

STEP 6:

  • Done message will appear. Oil reset is now complete.

The Oil life can also be reset using the following instruction.

  1. With the engine off, turn the ignition key to ON.
  2. Fully press and release the accelerator pedal three times within five seconds. (If the CHANGE ENGINE OIL message flashes, the system is reset.)

 

 

CHEVY IMPALA 2006-2007-2008-2009-2010-2011-2012-2013-2014-2015 CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON MESSAGE RESET

On this tutorial we need to use the DIC Button ( Driver Information Center) located at the right side of the Instrument Cluster.

STEP 1:

  • Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the Engine.

STEP 2:

  • Press The Info Button To Display The Remaining Oil Life.Step 2

STEP 3:

  • While The Remaining Oil Life Is Displayed. Press And Hold The Check Mark Button To Reset The Oil To 100%.

STEP 4:

  • Turn Ignition OFF. Oil Reset is now Complete.

On this tutorial we need to use the DIC BUTTON. Located at the right side of the steering wheel.DIC IMAPLAA 2020

STEP 1:

  • Turn the ignition on. Don’t Start the Engine

STEP 2:

  • Go to the INFORMATION menu by using the LEFT ARROW navigation button (located on the steering wheel)

STEP 3:

  • Scroll down and find the REMAINING OIL LIFE

STEP 4:

  • Hold down the button until the “Oil Life” display changes to 100 percent.

STEP 5:

  • Turn Ignition off. Oil Reset is now complete.

When to Change Engine Oil

This vehicle has a computer system that indicates when to change the engine oil and filter. This is based on a combination of factors which include engine revolutions, engine temperature, and miles driven. Based on driving conditions, the mileage at which an oil change is indicated can vary considerably. For the oil life system to work properly, the system must be reset every time the oil is changed.

CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON

This message displays when the engine oil needs to be changed. When you change the engine oil, be sure to reset the Oil Life System.

The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. It will notreset itself. Do not reset the Oil Life display accidentally at any time other than when the oil has just been changed. It cannot be reset accurately until the next oil change. To reset the engine oil life system,follow the instruction above.
