Launch X431 VCI Account Was Not Detected

Today I will give you the accurate information why this problem occurs and how to fix this problem.

A VCI account was not detected, please verify your VCI activation to proceed
Here are the possible reasons why this problem occurs:
REASON # 1: You are creating an account and you don’t have the activation code in you.
If you buy the Launch X431 OBD scanner, there is an activation code included in the packaging. The activation code is for one-time activation only. Once it is activated, you cannot use that activation code again. The username and password that you created during the activation process are the most important. Once the activation is complete, you can trash that activation paper because it is of no use after the activation, and the most important thing now is your username and password. So make sure you are activating your Launch X431 account to a permanent email address so that in case you forget your account, you can recover it to the email address where the Launch X431 was activated. REASON # 2: You are using the wrong software for your scanner.
This is a common reason related to this error message “A VCI account was not detected, please verify your VCI activation to proceed”. Even if you have the account where your scanner is activated, you can also get this error message if you are using the wrong software for your Launch X431 scanner.
This error message commonly happens if you reset your tablet to factory settings, uninstall the LAUNCH X431 application, or buy a new tablet for your scanner. Most Launch X431 Scanner users, once they reset their tablet, uninstall the application or buy a new tablet, they search for the software of their scanner on the internet, which is very wrong.

In this tutorial I am using the Launch X431 Pro model.
- Open a browser on your Android device and open google.com.
- Search in google mycarx431.
- Open and login to your account at https://mycar.x431.com/
- After you login download and install the LAUNCH X431 APK.
- After you install it. Open the app and click login.
- Type in your username and password. Use the username and password that you are using to login to mycar.x431.com/
- After you login. Click update.
- Now for the final action. select and click update.
