MAINTENANCE RESET: TOYOTA TACOMA

A simple and very easy to follow tutorial on how to reset the Maintenance Required service reminder for Toyota Tacoma. The reset instructions below cover the Toyota Tacoma model from the year 2005-2023.

Tacoma 2005-2015 Model

STEP 1

• Turn Ignition ON. Don’t Start The Engine.

STEP 2

• Press The ODO/TRIP BUTTON to Display to ODO.

  

STEP 3

• Then Turn The IGNITION OFF.

STEP 4

• Press And Hold ODO/TRIP BUTTON And Turn Ignition To The “RUN” Position. Hold the Knob For At Least 5 Seconds Until “000000” Is Displayed.

STEP 5

• Then Turn The Ignition OFF.

Tacoma 2016-2017 Model

STEP 1

• Turn Ignition ON. Don’t Start The Engine.

STEP 2

• Press the ODO/TRIP BUTTON to Display to TRIP A.

  

STEP 3

• Press And Hold ODO/TRIP BUTTON And Turn Ignition To The “RUN” Position. Hold the Knob For At Least 5 Seconds Until “MAINT REQD” flashes multiple times and the light goes off.

STEP 4

• Turn Ignition OFF. Maintenance Reset Is Complete.

Tacoma 2018-2023 Model

Tacoma Maintenance Required reset for the year 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 to 2023.

Resetting the message indicating maintenance is required (U.S.A. only) After the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance schedule, please reset the message.

To reset the message, follow the procedure described below:

STEP 1

• Press “◄” or “►” of meter control switches and select SETTINGS LOGO on the multi-information display.

STEP 2

• Press “▲” or “▼” of meter control switches and select “Settings”, and then press the OK (dot) button.

STEP 3

• Press “▲” or “▼” of meter control switches and select “Maintenance Reset”, and then press he OK (dot) button.

STEP 4

• Select the “YES” and press the “OK” (dot) button.

Maintenance required reset is now complete.
