How to Reset Maintenance Required Toyota Prius

Here’s the complete guide on how to reset the service maintenance required reminder for your Toyota Prius car. Some people called this tutorial an oil reset. In this tutorial, we cover the reset procedure from the year 2003-2023.

Prius 2003-2008 Model

5 Steps  Tutorial for Toyota Prius Maintenance reset for the year model of 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 , 2007 to 2008.

STEP 1

• Push the start button to ACCESSORY MODE. Ignition ON Only.

STEP 2

• • Press the ODO/TRIP BUTTON to Display to ODO.

    

STEP 3

• Then Turn The IGNITION OFF.

STEP 4

• Press and Hold ODO/TRIP BUTTON and push the start button on Accessory Mode/Ignition. Hold the Knob For At Least 5 Seconds Until “000000” Is Displayed.

STEP 5

• Then Turn The Ignition OFF. Maintenance Required Reset is complete.

Prius 2009-2015 Model

Toyota Prius Oil Maintenance Required Reminder Reset, applicable for the following model 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 to 2015.

STEP 1

• Push the START BUTTON and don’t start ENGINE (Accessory Mode Only)

STEP 2

• Press the TRIP button to display TRIP A on the Driver Information Display.

STEP 3

• Then Turn The IGNITION OFF.

STEP 4

• Now Press the KMH/MPH Button, then Push the  START button twice to enable ACCESSORY MODE. Do not release the KM/H-MPH BUTTON until the “RESETTING MAINTENANCE DATA” message is complete.

  

STEP 5

• Turn the Power OFF. Maintenance Required Reset is now complete.

Prius 2015-2023 Model

Oil Service Maintenance Required Indicator Reset for Toyota Prius model 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.

STEP 1

• Push the START BUTTON and don’t start ENGINE (Accessory Mode Only)

STEP 2

• First Clear the System message by pressing the BACK Button on Driver Info Button.

  

STEP 3

• Then Press the Right Arrow to navigate to SETTINGS (Gear Icon).

  

STEP 4

• Press the Down Button to Navigate to VEHICLE SETTINGS then press OK BUTTON (CENTER BUTTON)

  

STEP 5

• Now, select MAINTENANCE SYSTEM >Oil maintenance > then Select YES to reset the OIL MAINTENANCE.

STEP 6

• Reset Complete Message will appear. Turn the Power Off. Oil Maintenance reset is complete.
