HOW TO FIX 3Excel E315 Wheel Aligner Failed to Initialize Serial Port

Step 1

  • Make sure the ZIGBEE receiver is plug into the computer USB port.

Step 2

  • Then install the USB to serial driver for the ZIGBEE receiver. DOWNLOAD HERE.

Step 3

  • Now check the device manager if the USB to the SERIAL driver is properly installed.
  • Right-click COMPUTER/THIS PC select properties.right click my computer-select properties
  • Click device manager.device manager
  • Then navigate to PORTS & LPT. Take note of the USB to SERIAL PORT number. In my example, my USB TO SERIAL port number is number 8.usb to serial

Step 4

  • Now right-click the 3EXCEL wheel aligner icon on your desktop, then select OPEN FILE LOCATION.RIGHT CLICK 3EXCEL SELECT OPEN FILE LOCATION

Step 5

  • Then look for ALIGN.cfg.align config

Step 6

  • Then open the ALIGN.CFG using NOTEPAD.

Step 7

  • Then look for PORT. Then change the PORT number to NUMBER 8. (Your USB to SERIAL number may not the same from mine. see STEP 3)PORT NUMBER

Step 8

  • Then SAVE.

Step 9

  • Then open the 3EXCEL wheel aligner.  Start the wheel alignment.

Step 10

  • Done
