2003-2009 4Runner (N210) Maint Reqd Reset

Reset the maintenance light on a Toyota 4runner for model years 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009 with this simple method.

 

STEP 1

  • Turn ignition to the “RUN” position.

STEP 2

  • Press Reset knob Button to display the odometer and turn ignition off.Toyota 4Runner Maint Reset 2003-2009

STEP 3

  • Then Turn The IGNITION To OFF.

STEP 4

  • Press and hold down reset knob and turn the ignition to the “RUN” position. Hold the Reset knob until light turns off, it will turn on for 3 seconds, flash for 2 seconds, then turn on for 1 more second.

STEP 5

  • Turn ignition off. Reset Complete.

NOTE: Light will remain flashing if reset has failed, Repeat the Procedure.

STEP 1

  • Then Turn The IGNITION To OFF.

STEP 4

  • While holding the trip meter reset button, press the “ENGINE START/STOP” button once/Turn Ignition key on. Continue to hold the button until “000000 or RESETTING MAINTENANCE DATA” is displayed.

STEP 5

  • Turn ignition off. MAINTENANCE RESET is complete.

2020 – 2022 4Runner Maintenance Required Reset

STEP 1

  • Turn the ignition ON. Don’t start the engine.

STEP 2

  • Press the Reset button to set the display to TRIP A. Make sure the display is TRIP A.

  • Turn off the Ignition.

STEP 4

  • Now press and hold the Reset button then turn the ignition on without starting the engine, continue to press the reset button until the Maintenance Data reset is complete.

  • Oil Maintenance reset is complete. Start the engine to verify the maintenance required reminder is completely reset.

  1. Turn the engine switch off with the TRIP A reading shown.
    • Vehicles without a smart key system: While pressing the RESET BUTTON , turn the engine switch to the “ON” position (do not start the engine because reset mode will be canceled).
    • Vehicles with a smart key system: While pressing the RESET BUTTON , turn the engine switch to the IGNITION ON mode (do not start the engine because otherwise the reset mode will be canceled).
  2. Continue to press and hold the reset button until the trip meter displays “000000”.
