OIL RESET INSTRUCTION FOR THIS OIL LIFE MESSAGE WITHOUT THE DRIVER INFORMATIN CENTER  BUTTON (DIC BUTTON).

STEP 1

  • Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the Avalanche Car Engine.

STEP 2

  • Wait a moment,until the ENGINE OIL LIFE will display on the instrument cluster.Wait a moment,until the REMAINING OIL LIFE will display on the instrument cluster.

STEP 3

  • While the ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed. Fully press the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
  • After Pressing the GAS pedal 3x. The OIL LIFE RESET appear on the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.

STEP 4

  • After 10 – 15 seconds. The ENGINE OIL LIFE: 100% is displayed on the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.

STEP 5

  • Turn Ignition Off. Oil reset is now complete.

STEP 1

  • Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the Avalanche Car Engine.

  • Press the FUEL INFORMATION BUTTON (LABEL B BUTTON), to display the remaining ENGINE OIL LIFE.  Press the FUEL INFORMATION BUTTON, to display the remaining ENGINE OIL LIFE.

STEP 3

  • While the ENGINE OIL LIFE is displayed. Fully press the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
  • The CHANGE ENGINE OIL  message will appear. Also OIL LIFE RESET appear on the INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.

STEP 4

  • After OIL LIFE RESET message appear. PRESS THE ENTER button (D label button)  to reset the OIL LIFE. If D button will  not work. Try to Press C. until the OIL LIfe RESET TO 100%.Press the FUEL INFORMATION BUTTON, to display the remaining ENGINE OIL LIFE.

STEP 5

  • Turn Ignition Off. Oil reset is now complete.

  • Turn the ignition On. Don’t start the Avalanche Car Engine.

  • Fully press the accelerator pedal slowly three times within five seconds.
  • After Pressing gas pedal 3X. The CHANGE ENGINE OIL warning light will flash 6x or more. The Oil life is now reset.
  • If not  flashing repeat the procedure.

STEP 3

  • Turn Ignition Off. Oil reset is now complete.

STEP 1

  • Turn Ignition ON. Don’t start the Engine.

STEP 2

  • After Ignition ON. immediately PRESS THE GAS PEDAL 3X WITH 5X.

STEP 3

  • After PRESSING GAS PEDAL 3X. Start the CAR ENGINE. The CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON warning message should be gone.

STEP 4

  • Turn the engine OFF. OIL Reset is now complete.

  • Turn Ignition ON. Don’t start the Engine.

  • While the REMAINING OIL LIFE is displayed. PRESS the RESET BUTTON to RESET THE OIL LIFE TO 100%.

STEP 4

  • Turn ignition Off. Oil reset is now complete.

Engine Oil Life System

When to Change Engine Oil

This vehicle has a computer system that indicates when to change the engine oil and filter. This is based on a combination of factors which include engine revolutions, engine temperature, and miles driven. Based on driving conditions, the mileage at which an oil change is indicated can vary considerably. For the oil life system to work properly, the system must be reset every time the oil is changed.

CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOON

This message displays when the engine oil needs to be changed. When you change the engine oil, be sure to reset the Oil Life System.

The Oil Life display must be reset after each oil change. It will notreset itself. Do not reset the Oil Life display accidentally at any time other than when the oil has just been changed. It cannot be reset accurately until the next oil change. To reset the engine oil life system,follow the instruction above.
