Quick Information About Toyota Fortuner

Toyota Fortuner was introduced in 2005 at the 13th Gaikindo Auto Expo in Jakarta. The 2.5 G and 2.7 G diesel engine option is not sold in Indonesia, due to the heavier tax regulations imposed on vehicles with diesel engines larger than two-litre. The Fortuner 2.7 VVT-i and TRD Sportivo was launched in the Philippines in 2005. It was initially offered in two variants, with a 5-speed manual transmission and a 2.5-litre diesel engine. For the 2009 model year facelift it was replaced by a 4-speed automatic transmission and received a variable nozzle intercooled turbocharger upgrade known as VNT.

In Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the Fortuner was launched in 2005. In South Africa, it became the best-selling SUV since its launch. In Venezuela, two grades are available for 2011 – 4XR and 4.0 TRD Sportivo. In Singapore, the 2.7 V grade is the only available model. A minor redesign of the Fortuner was launched in July 2008.

It features new projector headlamps and grille, Bluetooth connectivity, new light sand interior, electronic adjustable driver’s seat in 4×4 V model, rear air conditioning from ceiling for second, and third row which was originally located on the sides.
