  1. Enter Programming Mode – Step 1

INSERT key into ignition and TURN from OFF to RUN/ACC.

OFF is the position where you can remove your key, RUN/ACC is the position just shy of starting your vehicle.

  2. Enter Programming Mode – Step 2

LOCATE the Programming Connector located at the base of the Steering Wheel Column.

The Programming Connector consists of 2 wires and a plastic plug terminator with 2 pins.

The pins will NOT be connected to anything.

  3. Enter Programming Mode – Step 3

JUMP the 2 pins in the Programming Connector using a suitable metal jumping wire (example – paperclip).

  4. Program Remote

PRESS any button on the remote to be programmed.

Door locks will cycle Lock/Unlock to confirm successful programming of the remote.

REPEAT this step IMMEDIATELY for any other remotes to be programmed to your vehicle.

  5. Exit Programming Mode

TURN ignition to OFF to exit Programming Mode.

The vehicle locks will cycle Lock/Unlock to indicate successful completion of programming.

  6. Test Remotes

Test all remotes. Programming is now complete.

Important:

  • Verify the following prior to following these instructions:
    • Your vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, and
    • You have a key fob remote that is compatible with your vehicle.
  • Obtain all remote transmitters for this vehicle. This procedure will erase all previously programmed remotes. You must program all existing and new remotes that you wish to use on the vehicle at this time.
  • You may clear your keyless entry system memory by entering programming mode as shown in the steps above.

Note: If your vehicle cannot enter programming mode, then you cannot program any remote.  This indicates either no keyless entry installed on the vehicle or a defective keyless entry receiver module.

Ford TOURNEO2010-2013 RKE Keyfob Programming

1. Ensure the vehicle is electronically unlocked.
2. Put the key in the ignition in the (OFF) position.
3. Cycle four times rapidly (within six seconds) between the (OFF) (ON) position. Do not start the vehicle. Note: The fourth turn must end in the (ON) position.
4. Turn the key to the (OFF) position within 10 seconds.
5. A chime will sound to confirm that the programming mode has been activated.
6. Within 10 seconds press any button on the remote entry fob. Note: If more than 10 seconds have passed you will need to start the procedure over again.
7. A chime will sound to confirm that this remote entry fob has been programmed.
8. Repeat Step 6 to program each additional remote entry fob.
9. The programming mode will exit automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity or by turning the ignition ON. That completes the procedure for programming the remote portion of your remote/key combo.

FOR SOME KEY

Follow the instructions below to program the key portion of your remote/key combo.
Key blade must be cut before you can program.
The process for programming keys is independent of the process for programming Remote Entry Fobs. If your vehicle is fitted with a key and Remote Entry fob combo, you must perform both learning procedures in order to program both the Immobilizer and
Remote Locking functions of the key fob.
Tips:
• A maximum of eight keys can be programmed to your vehicle.
• You must have two previously programmed keys (keys that
already operate your vehicle’s engine) and the new unprogrammed
key(s) readily accessible.
• If two previously programmed keys are not available, you must have a Locksmith program a second key for you.
1. Insert a previously programmed key into the ignition.
2. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds.
3. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
4. Remove the previously programmed key from the ignition.
5. After three seconds but within 10 seconds of removing the previously programmed key, insert the other previously programmed key into the ignition.
6. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second but not more than 10 seconds.
7. Turn the ignition to the OFF position.
8. Remove the previously programmed key from the ignition.
9. After three seconds but within twenty seconds of removing the previously programmed key, insert the unprogrammed key (new/valet key) into the ignition.
10. Turn the ignition from the OFF position to the ON position. Keep the ignition in the ON position for at least one second, but no more than 10 seconds.
11. Your new, unprogrammed key is now programmed.
If the key has been successfully programmed it will start the vehicle’s engine and the theft indicator light will illuminate for three seconds and then go out.
If the key was not successfully programmed, it will not start your
vehicle’s engine and the theft indicator light will flash on and off, or stay
on for more than three seconds. To program additional new unprogrammed key(s), repeat this procedure
from Step 1 for each additional key.

  3. Confirm First Programmed Key – Step 3

TURN the ignition OFF and REMOVE the first key from the ignition.

  4. Confirm Second Programmed Key – Step 1

After 3 seconds, but within 10 seconds of turning the ignition OFF, INSERT the second previously programmed key into the ignition.

  5. Confirm Second Programmed Key – Step 2

TURN the ignition from OFF to ON. KEEP the ignition ON for at least 3 seconds, but no more than 10 seconds.

  6. Confirm Second Programmed Key – Step 3

TURN the ignition OFF and REMOVE the second key from the ignition.

  7. Program New Key – Step 1

After 3 seconds but within 10 seconds of turning the ignition OFF and removing the second key, INSERT the NEW un-programmed key into the ignition.

  8. Program New Key – Step 2

TURN the ignition from OFF to ON. KEEP the ignition ON for at least 6 seconds.

  9. Program New Key – Step 3

REMOVE the NEW key from the ignition.

If the key was successfully programmed, it will operate the remote entry system and start the vehicle’s engine.

If the key was NOT successfully programmed, it will NOT work the remote entry system or start the vehicle’s engine and the message center will display “NO KEY DETECTED”. Wait 20 seconds and REPEAT the process from Step 1.

  10. Test Remotes

TEST all remotes. Programming is complete.

Important:

  • Verify the following prior to following these instructions:
    • Your vehicle is equipped with keyless entry, and
    • You have a key fob remote that is compatible with your vehicle.
  • You must have 2 working transponder chip keys in order to program a new transponder without the assistance of a professional.
  • The key to be programming must be cut prior to beginning this programming procedure.
  • To program any additional new keys, wait 20 seconds and REPEAT this procedure.

Note: If your vehicle cannot enter programming mode, then you cannot program any remote.  This indicates either no keyless entry installed on the vehicle or a defective keyless entry receiver module.
