Quick information About Ford Econoline

The Ford Econoline was introduced for model year 1961 as the replacement for the Ford F-Series panel van. The midengined design borrowed elements of the Volkswagen Type 2, while making major departures with other design features. From 1980 to 2014, it was the best-selling full-sized van in the United States. For the 1991 model year, Ford introduced the fourth-generation of the Econoline/Club Wagon. For 1994, CFC-free R134a air-conditioning refrigerant was adopted beginning with September 1993 production. In 2011, the 6.0L Power Stroke turbo-diesel V8 engine was discontinued, and the E Series was no longer offered with a diesel engine.
